I met a lot of great local developers, designers and the such at FOWA, if you didn't attend here are two great ways to get out and meet the Orlando developer community.
Ignite Orlando
Ignite Orlando is a great way to see some very short (5 min) presentations. I've heard there are going to be some great presentations.
BarCamp Orlando
BarCamp Orlando is also coming up a rather soon (April 18, 2009). The registration page says that the free tickets are sold out but I'm still going to show up and nudge into Slingapours.
